Senior Internal Auditor
Type: Full-time
To ensure that a satisfactory level of internal control is maintained in all operations by appraising the effectiveness of procedures, systems and processes. And, assist in the monitoring of Corporate Internal Audit standards and working methods, making suggestions for improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Plans, executes and reports on audits / reviews assigned by the Audit Director, including ACE quality assurance reviews
- Interprets policy and procedures and applies professional accounting and auditing principles and standards to test and evaluate complex financial records and operational systems.
- Develops recommendations for bringing programs and operations into compliance with goals and objectives, and writes reports documenting findings
- Reviews the working papers of team members when acting as a team leader, and deputises for the Audit Director, as necessary, during entrance and exit meetings.
- Represents the department at selected external forums / discussion groups.
- Assists the Audit Director as necessary in the recruitment process.
- Oversees aspects of the department training program and makes recommendations to the Audit Director on suitable courses.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Other Requirements
- CPA/ CA / CIA (or equivalent) professional certification.
- Good first degree essential, masters desirable
- Fluent English
- Fluency in another language desirable
- IT literate
- Experience in IT audits and holding relevant IT audit qualifications (i.e. CISA) would be an advantage.
- Experience in use of data assurance applications (i.e. ACL) would be an advantage.
- High level of mobility (60% + travel element to job)
- 5 years + business experience, audit and / or finance related, ideally gained within a substantial international group.
- Strong track record of influencing management at all levels and effecting value added business change.
